As a College founded on feminist values, Janet Clarke Hall provides an environment not only where students can flourish academically, but also prosper personally. Our strong College culture is underpinned by respect and openness. As a student body, we are dedicated to facilitating these conversations and fostering a caring environment within our College.
From the moment students enter the door, they should feel safe and cared for in a family-like environment. The Student Club plays an important role in this, and we are committed to working closely with staff to ensure that this is so for all students. With a small student body of around a hundred students, we have uniquely tight-knit group in which every student is valued. Through orientation, the focus is on developing friendships and trust. There is a focus on respectful relationships and our duty to others. This is our highest priority for the Student Club in 2019.

Our College is situated on the land of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation, whose stories, educational practices and connection to Country are part of the world’s oldest living culture. We acknowledge the traditional custodians of this land, and pay our respects to Elders past, present and those emerging in our community.
