Application process

Applications to JCH are completed through the intercollegiate applications portal used by all affiliated colleges associated with the University of Melbourne. Students who are applying to us from RMIT must also use this portal. You can begin your application from the start of June each year.

Step 01

Complete the intercollegiate application form with your personal details, academic information and College preferences.

Step 02
Upload supporting documents

You will be asked to provide transcripts, references or brief statements relevant to your academic background and interests.

Step 03
Attend an interview
(if shortlisted)

Shortlisted applicants are invited to interview with a member of the JCH team – an opportunity for us to get to know you, and for you to learn more about College life.

Step 04
Receive and accept your offer

If your application is successful, you’ll receive an offer of residency with clear instructions on how to confirm your place.

If you have applied for financial assistance, your needs will be discussed at your interview. If you are offered a place, you will receive a scholarship offer based on your demonstrated financial need.
