Mr Aidan Carter

Teaching areas: International Relations, Political Science, History, Essay Writing, Sociolinguistics, Italian and French

Aidan has degrees in international relations, political science, higher education and foreign languages from the University of Melbourne, La Trobe University and the University for Foreigners of Perugia (Italy). Originally from country Victoria, he moved to Melbourne to attend university. He has spent time studying and living abroad in Europe, including working as an English teacher and interpreter in Italy. 

Since graduation, he has worked across Swinburne, La Trobe and the University of Melbourne in a myriad of research and teaching roles. He currently works as a Head Tutor in Political Science at the University of Melbourne, and is completing his second master’s degree in Translation and Interpreting at RMIT.

In his spare time, he enjoys learning languages; Netflix binges; music (piano and singing); trying to keep fit through running, tennis or cycling; and travelling the world.
