Aidan has degrees in foreign languages, international relations, and higher education from the University of Melbourne, La Trobe University, and the University for Foreigners of Perugia (Italy). He recently completed his second master’s degree in Translation and Interpreting at RMIT.
He currently works at the Australian Trade and Invest Commission (Austrade), and volunteers at Out For Australia – an organisation that provides role models, mentors, events and support to aspiring LGBTIQA+ professionals. He has worked as a Resident Tutor in Melbourne since 2019, and often tutors in the other residential colleges and at the University of Melbourne. His professional experiences includes 6 years’ experience in tertiary research and teaching, as well as roles as an English teacher and interpreter in Italy.
He originally hails from rural Victoria (near Daylesford) and moved to Melbourne to attend university. In his spare time, he enjoys learning languages; travelling the world; music; and keeping fit through running, swimming, tennis or cycling.
